Description:      

Norwegian Airlines is looking to recruit additional Airline Coordinators to be based in the Fort Lauderdale office to join the existing team.

These are full time positions working a 40hour week. All potential candidates will be expected to work on a shift basis. Airline coordinators are senior level positions which carry a lot of responsibility.

Candidates will be handling flight irregularities and working with the flight operations department in Norway and communicating with the affected flights and airports.

Coordinators also assist the various call centers in Europe and the USA helping with daily booking issues and assisting when irregularities occur with flight operations and directing the tasks needed to be actioned.

Navigator offers competitive salaries, 15 days paid vacation per annum (5 paid sick days), there is also a part contributory health insurance scheme in place with United Healthcare. In addition there are other added premium payments for working night shifts and weekends as well as sharing in monthly incentives and the chance to earn extra bonuses in June and December, based on company and personal performance. More details will be discussed at the interview.

The office in Fort Lauderdale is currently open from 7.30am-1am daily. All candidates will be expected to work differing shifts according to the needs of Norwegian. Current coordinator shifts are from 8am-4.30pm and 4.30pm-1am.

All new coordinators will be expected to join in July of 2016. Extensive training will be undertaken in Fort Lauderdale and also in Norway for 1-2 weeks at a time, all candidates will be expected to travel and hold necessary documents. Qualifications/Skills:    

Norwegian is looking for candidates who are able to multi task and can take quick informed decisions. A good knowledge of working with airline reservations systems is paramount, preferably with Amadeus and Altea DCS. Candidates with an operational background in the airline industry will be best suited for these positions. Language skills are an added benefit and candidates who are also fluent in Spanish will be given preference as well as any Nordic language abilities.
