Northern Lights International School is a newly established school in Oslo, starting functioning in August 17th, 2015. Oslo is a city with a limited amount of schools that have English as the primary language of instruction intended for children in primary school age. By offering an international education, NLIS wants to contribute to the society.
In the first year of education, the school will open its doors to 1st to 5th grades. Each year new grades will be added so that after five years it will be covering 10th grades’ students.
The school is located in the brand new high standard built Teglverket Skole, Hasle/Oslo, easily accessible with T-bane and bus.
The school will implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP). NLIS is currently registered as a PYP candidate school, working to become a fully authorized IB world school in the upcoming years.

Northern Lights International School is looking for experienced art teacher to its growing school.
In August 2016 will the school start its second year and wants new, engaged and motivated members to its staff.
The school will have grades between 1 and 6, with about 15 students in each. The art teacher will be responsible for the students’ art lessons, and make sure that the lessons are happening in according to the IB PYP curriculum. This will also be the school’s very first art teacher.
The candidate must have relevant education and experience in art teaching to primary level. Teachers with IB-PYP experience is prioritized.
