Company Description: Skretting ARC is currently seeking a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) specialist for a support role in our growing organization. NIRS is the standard method for quality control of feed and feedstuffs in the Skretting aqua feed companies worldwide and Skretting ARC is responsible for developing and maintaining the NIRS network. In this position, primary duties involve validation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of NIR instruments.

Main tasks include:
- Validate NIRS instruments on a regular basis and perform data analysis using statistical techniques
- Provide expertise on quality assurance, analysis and reporting of NIR data
- Provide technical problem resolution and support. Provide support and assistance in person, by telephone or from a remote location
- Provide expert guidance to Skretting companies and participate in user meetings
- Work with other NIRS Specialists and technical management in order to coordinate and quickly resolve NIRS related issues
Qualifications And Professional Knowledge
- Higher education in the area of analytical chemistry, preferably with knowledge in chemometric/multivariate data analysis methods
- Fundamental knowledge of basic statistical methodology
- A minimum of 2 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in the feed or food business
- Experienced in NIR spectroscopy and reference methods used by NIR spectroscopy
Personal skills:
- Analytical and target oriented
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
- The ability to work independently and also act as a valuable teamplayer
